Favorite Friday!

Christian Lacroix! Diane Kruger looked amazing at the Golden Globes a couple weeks ago! I loved her Pink Lacroix dress! It's stunning! Diane is beautiful all the time, but this dress just literally took my breath away when I saw it!!

Julie & Julia! Oh my goodness I loved it! Megs and I watched it on New Years Eve and it was amazing! Made me crave food like no other...so we had Panda...it was so good! Meryl Streep as Julia Child steals the show. I could have watched a whole movie of just her and Stanley Tucci! They were amazing!! Amy Adams does a good job too...but oh my goodness Streep was amazing!

Bookbook! I've seen these featured on quite a few blogs lately and I'm in love with them! This has to be the perfect laptop case ever! I would have to go with vibrant red myself!!

Kelly Clarkson! I know what you're thinking...but I love her song, My Life Would Suck Without You! It's just a good...turn the volume up and sing as loud as you can song...in the car!!! Listen and enjoy!

D's Birthday!

Last week was D's 16th Birthday party! It was super fun! We did a Mario Kart/Nintendo/whatever theme!

We made everyone there wear fake mustaches!

We made our own little photo booth! J came over dressed as Mario!

PB and PH weren't big fans of the mustaches!

Megs and D did though! It was a fun night!

...at least I enjoyed myself!

And after much coaxing we got Grandma to put a mustache on for the picture!

The food was spaghetti...and Pioneer Woman's Chicken Spaghetti...delicious!

PB enjoyed all the food!

The Cupcakes are suppose to look like the mushrooms from the super Mario brothers game! D also got the Super Mario Brothers for the Wii...and all those hours of playing it on our super Nintendo paid off! It's so fun!

Then last night D was ordained a Priest! He'll get to bless the sacrament on Sunday! So exciting! Though kind of weird that he's that old...which makes me really old. But it's been a fun couple weeks!

Monday Musical!

Well for those of you who actually read this frequently you will all know there are some things that I cannot help but love. One of them is How I Met Your Mother! For their 100th episode they had did a musical number...and Tim Gunn...make it work...guest stared as well! Who doesn't love a singing Neil Patrick Harris...Hello Dr. Horrible's Sing Along Blog which we won't talk about now because I would be forced to talk about my love for Joss Whedon and that could go on a very long time! Needless to say the number was Legendary as is the show! So watch it and love it!

The Princess and the Frog! For Christmas Megs and I took L and N to go see this movie and it was awesome! Disney has done it again! It was fun to see a classic Disney animated movie again! The New Orleans background was beautiful and the music very fun! Tiana and Prince Naveen are...classic! You'll love it!

Alberta Ferretti! Rachel McAdams wore a beautiful blue Alberta Ferretti crinkled silk chiffon gown to the Berlin premiere of Sherlock Holmes! I love the single sleeved, asymmetrical look! She looks stunning!

Happy Birthday D!

Today is D's 16th birthday! That's right he can drive...technically. But since he hasn't done his Eagle Project he can't get his drivers license. But he's still pretty happy telling us which of our cars he's going to drive...won't he be disappointed to realize that all our cars already come with drivers! Happy Birthday D I cannot wait till your dinner party tonight!

Mel's 24th Birthday was last week! She had a good birthday! She got her ring fixed with a bigger center diamond and an awesome serving platter from me!

Favorite Fridays!

(500) Days of Summer! I loved this movie! I had heard very good things about this movie, but I knew I was going to like it from the little author's note at the beginning. You know it was something like..."The following is a work of fiction. Any resemblance to persons living or dead is purely coincidental. Especially you Jenny Beckman..." I laughed and loved from then to the end. It's not a love story, but it is a story about love!

Rick Riordan! The Last Olympian was a bitter sweetness for me. I loved it but it's the last in the series so far and it's always kind of sad to be the last! I hope that we haven't heard the last of Percy Jackson. At least there is the movie...even though I do not approve of the girl they got to play Annabeth! I mean how hard is it to find someone with blond hair or dye the girls hair! I had the some problem with Aunt Petunia in the Harry Potter movies! But the book was very good! I think I'll reread the first one before I go see the movie! It comes out in February...who want to come with me?!

The Postal Service! They're awesome! Such Great Heights is one of my favorite songs by them! So listen and enjoy!

Monday Musical!

The Nightmare Before Christmas was an awesome movie! It's a classic Christmas...or Halloween movie. I love the whole movie and every song...I own and frequently listen to the soundtrack...but Sally's song had to be one of my favorites! It's just so pretty!

My Family...

I believe it is about time that I introduce everyone to the newest members of my family. Back in October Captain Wentworth was having some serious troubles. So I took him to Geek Squad...again for the fourth time. And I just told the nice geek man that I wanted a junk out! Now don't get me wrong, I loved Wentworth, we had some good times, but I needed something more reliable in my life. And being Geek Squad during the almost holiday season it took forever...two to three weeks before I heard back from them and they said well of course! So I go in and Best Buy has a total of like six computers there. Why? Because they are getting ready for the Big Microsoft 7 switch over. Which meant that I waited another two weeks before actually getting a new computer. I choose a Sony Vaio, because it was a comparable price, could connect to the Internet without turning on the computer and had a built in blue ray player which sounded pretty cool. But I get home and the Internet isn't working. I thought well it's probably because it's not compatible to Windows 7 or some crap like that. But I could get on the Internet when it wasn't on. This is really annoying but I decide I will live with it for now because I don't want to not have a computer anymore. So weeks go by and I'm still frustrated with the unworkingness of my computer...and since I'm upset at it I cannot name it!...so I decide that I'm just going to wipe it and start new and see what happens! And talk about a Tender Mercy, it works! That's everything is perfect!

But now I come to the point when I need to name it. But what to name it. I plan on this being my computer for at least three years, so it has to be a good name. I cannot get sick of it, cause you cannot just rename your stuff! So I'm thinking, and thinking, going through names from books and movies when it hits me! Uh hello the name totally needs to come from Star Wars! So I start to run through names from Star Wars the final contenders were Hans Solo and the Millennium Falcon. So I have called it both for the last few days and have decided that it is...The Millennium Falcon!...it silly but you don't understand how excited this makes me!

Then Christmas come along and I open a...an HP Printer!! Thank you much! I've been needing one since my huge old clunker of one from way before my mission stopped feeding paper! Now I have one and it's a lovely. It's a black/brown and when I opened it I thought it perfect! And it's name came to me before I had even taken it out the box! I have my Falcon and now I have a Vader! That's right Darth Vader!

Now we are a Happy Family!!

Favorite Fridays!

Brandon Mull! I have finished the Fablehaven series and it was better than I thought! The first two were good. But the last to were really good! In fact I loved it! I don't know what to say that won't spoil it for anyone...but just know that is is awesome and you need to read it!

Bella! Oh my beautiful! It wasn't what I was expecting...not that I was really expecting much. I liked the title and the look of the cover so I thought I would give it a try! I'm so glad I did. This is the best movie I have seen a long time. Plus it was fun to hear the Spanish...which I'm proud to say I still understood without having to read the screen! Just a beautiful movie. There are funny moments, touching moments, tearful moments. Oh my heart it was food! Eduardo Verastegui and Tammy Blachard do an amazing job! It was so...honest...simply lovely. It really shows how your life can change in one day. How the little things we do, can really change your life! I love the Hispanic family, it really is a throw back to the mission!...we should totally introduce the cheek kiss into our everyday lives. Nothing makes you feel more accepted then when someone greets you like that. I'll never be called as a greeter in church...why? Well because white people wouldn't know to do think when I pull them in for cheek kiss when they shake my hand! A marvelous tradition!

Muse! I am Loving their I Belong to You right now! So have a listen and love them for yourselves!
