Favorite Fridays!

The Blind Side! I loved this movie and surprisingly I laughed way more than I cried! It's not advertised as a funny movie...but some of it was just hilarious! Sandra Bullock does and amazing job! Tim McGraw is very nice to look during the whole movie, and the son who I don't know his name had some of the best lines of the movie. Best movie I've seen in a while!

Confessions of a Shopaholic! I finally read Sophia Kinsella's Shopaholic book and loved it. I loved the movie too, but it is different! I think I liked the book bit more though. The Derek Smeath part was handled in a way that doesn't make me hate him as much. It was very entertaining and I cannot wait to read the next one! I just relate so much to Rebecca Bloomwood...it's sad really. Except for the fact that I don't own any D&G, Chanel, Prada...which is also very sad! But her story ends happily...with a hot, very rich English man...wow are stories really are a like!

U2! Yesterday I was actually thinking about what I should write today...actually it was more of a holy crap tomorrow's Friday which means I have to write a favorite Friday thing and I don't know what to write...and then this wonderful group came on the radio. Well Duh...U2 has to be featured! They are one of the bands who would play at my funeral...and now that I write that I think there may be people who don't know me well enough to realize that really isn't that random of a comment! Think about it...if you could have any band play at your funeral (alive of dead) who would they be?...My funeral would be a week long music fest of awesomeness, and U2 would be one of the featured artists! So here for your listening pleasure is one of my favorite songs...Sunday Bloody Sunday!

Favorite Friday!

Chanel! First I've loved pretty much everything Michelle Williams has worn since she showed up in that yellow dress to the Oscars oh so long ago! I love this dress. It's simple, beautiful, and she just glows.

Emma! So for Valentines day I bought myself a little gift which I did not mean to do but it really did just happen. I saw this and could not resist, I just bought it. I loved it! It may be my favorite adaptation of Emma. Now don't get me wrong I love the Gwyneth Paltrow version but this was good! I don't think it is possible to watch Emma and not love it and Mr. Knightley by the end of the movie! But if you have not seen this version...trust me...you need to!

The Killers! Ok if you've heard this song and not liked it then we probably are not friends! Mr. Brightside is just a...great song!

Monday Musical!

It is no secret that I love all things Disney! They are the creator of the best musicals/movies ever made! Mary Poppins is a classic in every sense of the word! Dick Van Dyke and Julie Andews...it doesn't get much better than that! I love this song! Megs will use to walk around imitating the high kick little walk thing that Bert does! This movie was the shiz...way back when! They incorporated animatronics and animation into it...not anything big now...but then quite the accomplishment!
“I don’t think you’re an idiot at all. I mean, there are elements of the ridiculous about you. Your mother’s pretty interesting. And you really are an appallingly bad public speaker. And, um, you tend to let whatever’s in your head come out of your mouth without much consideration of the consequences…But the thing is, um, what I’m trying to say, very in articulately, is that, um, in fact, perhaps despite appearances, I like you, very much. Just as you are.”—Mark Darcy, Bridget Jones’s Diary

Favorite Friday!

Louis Vuitton! Zoe Saldana wore an amazing ethnic print Louis Vuitton Pre-Fall 2009 dress that I love! She looks stunning as per usual. And who isn't loving her Jimmy Choo Sandals!

Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs! I finally watched it and loved it! 2009 was a great year for animated films! It's hilarious! So if you are in need of a good laugh out loud movie...or just a break from reality...I highly recommend this one!

Fall Out Boy! I love their song, The Take Over, The Breaks Over! I love the beat...I just love it! So enjoy!

"I know you should never judge a guy wearing a tux because tuxes always make guys look better than they do in real life!"--Jerramy Fine, Someday My Prince Will Come

Monday Musical!

Fiddler on the Roof is a classic in every sense of the word! I love it and there are so many songs to choose from, but I have to go with the Matchmaker song! It's just...classic...and it's a ring tone on my phone...that's right every member of the bishopric has that ring! Why? Well isn't that the unsaid goal of every single wards bishopric! Well I thought it was funny! So enjoy!

"Look at yourself, Marshall. You're not happy. And you know why? Because you're different. Now, I suppose you could learn to love yourself for the unique little snowflake you are. Or you could change your entire personality, which is just so much easier."--Barney, How I Met Your Mother

Favorite Friday!

Giorgio Armani! Anne Hathaway looked stunning at the Armani Prive Spring 2010 wearing a silver Armani! I love this dress! I mean seriously doesn't she just look stunning! And the shoes...Louboutins! This is a lustful worthy outfit if I have ever seen one! Speaking of shoes did I ever mention that I finished #8 on my list! That's right Mel gave me a pair of purple shoes for Christmas!

Prince et Princesses! I loved it! It's in French and it's just random silhouette animated stories but it's so good! It's hilarious and you all should watch it!

All-American Rejects! Now I have been a fan since...move along and...well way back when! But I love this song...Mother doesn't but I can't help! Gives You Hell is just a great song...repetitive but good!

"Diabetes! I ought to know better than to hire anybody with a disease."--Walter Burns, His Girl Friday

03 February 2010

I was browsing the day away online the other day on collider.com when I saw these awesome superhero photos! I love adding superheroes into real old photos. If there were superheros in the world they would have been there!

I think they are hilarious! Check out Agan Harahap's flickr account to see the rest! They are...well they're funny! Check out the Darth Vader one! I love it!

"Women don't want to hear what you think. They want to hear what they think--a deeper voice."--Bill Cosby

What the...television!

What the...did anybody watch LOST last night? I did and what the...oh how I hate that show! But I need to know what the heck is going on. J.J. Abrams is intensely twisted! I have no idea what happened! When Mother asked me what had happened, I couldn't even explain it. People died...but I don't think they're dead but then some are. Like Juliet, she dies again in this episode! That was so sad! But wasn't it creepy and sorta cool seeing peeps who have died back on the plane! Speaking of the plane! What is going on! I'm totally behind the flash back/forward things but don't you just hate not knowing what's happening. Plus all their lives were so messed up before the island, that is was cool seeing them make it to LA and how they interact weird! Is that what they wanted? The island is crap strange but they're better people because of it...the ones still alive! Oh how I hate the fact that I cannot stop watching this ridiculous show!!!

I also finally watched the last few episodes of Dollhouse! And oh my goodness! Season 2 was incredible! I don't know what Fox was thinking when they canceled the show. Whedon did an amazing job! I loved it! It was...awesome! I loved the development of Adele and Topher's characters. I never saw the bad guy coming! It was such a good way to end! And in typical Whedon fashion, he kills people you love. I loved the return of Alpha...but who doesn't love Alan Tudyk...and the twist. Ha! It was AWESOME!!! Watch it! Has anyone watched it?

"Tradition is a trap that allows people to stick their heads in the sand. Everything in the past was so quaint, so charming. Times were simpler, kids didn't have sex, neighbors knew each other. It's a friggin' fairy tale. Things sucked then too, they just sucked without indoor plumbing."--Luke, Gilmore Girls

Monday Musical!

Today's musical is Phantom of the Opera! Now I've never seen the play live...though It's on my to do before I die list. But I loved the movie...well I love Gerard Butler as the Phantom. He's hot...he can sing...he's so my future husband! With Butler playing the Phantom I never get her decision to go with the other guy...even though I get the the Phantom is well...evil...I still like the phantom! One of my favorite songs is The Point of No Return! So here it is for your viewing pleasure!

"Sometimes when you're on the outside looking in you see somethings other people can't."--Barney Sloan, Young at Heart
