Happiness is the little things...

120. Hotel rooms with big comfy beds!

TV Tuesday.

I thought Alcatraz's episode "Webb Porter" this week was beautifully done. It was creepy beautiful, but still beautiful. I really music through out the episode was haunting and added to the creepy madness of Porter.  I really liked to seeing more of Lucy and Hauser's relationship developement. I do wonder if Lucy was as smitten as Hauser was? How did they find each other in the present? Could Doc and Rebecca be right, is Lucy the key to everything?!

Best Outfits:
  • I always love the bedazzling that Martha does on Castle.
  • Steve and Danny's swimsuits in "Kalele (Faith)" on Hawaii 5-0! Don't you think that Danny and Steve should spend more time shirt less on the beach! Danny posing like Steve after he stuck his board in the sand was hilarious!!
  • Ripp Cockburn's flannel and jeans bible reading outfit in "Wolf in Sheep's Clothing" on GCB. I don't know if it was the outfit or just David James Elliott wearing it, but holy crap he looked good!
  • Bonnie and Clyde costume on GCB! Pretty much everyone's outfit at the Come as Your Favorite Texan theme party!
  • Jefferson's every shade of gray ascot outfit on Once Upon a Time. Who doesn't love a guy in an ascot? And Regina's FTL outfit, holy boobs!
Product Placements:
  • Dancing with the Stars in "A Dance with Death" on Castle. Even though they didn't actually mention the show by name it was obvious advertising for the dancing show that aired right before it.
  • Facetime app for the I-pad on Psych.
  • BRAVO--the gay history channel! on Happy Endings.
  • Barbasol shaving cream in "Kate is Enough" on Awake.
Tangents:
  • The Broath in "The Broath" on How I Met Your Mother was hilarious and oh so classic Barney! Did anyone else want a copy of the Bro Monk soundtrack playing during the Broath?!Beer Batter Maple Bacon Spring Brake cupcake? Not sure what I think about that on Two Broke Girls.
  • Did anyone else google Brian Dunkleman after the name drop on Castle? Well, I did. He apparently was a co host with Ryan Seacrest on the first season of American Idol.
  • Was that classic Hawaii 5-0 footage that was used on the show this week? I love that they used a character from the old show and tied him into the updated version.
  • What the--Jamie Lee Curtis and Sean Astin on NCIS!  I do not believe Sean Astin could kick in a front door. Sorry I just don't believe it's possible! Despite that I really want Curtis to become a regular on the show!
  • I love Psych's a cappella  theme!
  • Why does Sean Bean always get killed off! He looked amazing! I fell in love all over again and then...boom! But Missing had the good sense to cast him in the first place!
  • Good heavens how I have missed Mad Men! I love me some Roger Sterling! Don told Megan about Dick Witman? Is he insane!?  Do you like Megan? I'm not a fan, but then again I stopped being a fan of Betty after season one.
  • I love the the jaws behind Cricket's desk on GCB.
  • The white rabbit that Jefferson/the Mad Hatter--Interesting Jefferson is the only person beside the Queen to have the same name both in FTL and in Maine--made for his daughter on Once Upon a Time was classic. How did he lose his wife? Who was she? I also really enjoyed watching Sebastian Stan as Jefferson. Plus, he is very good looking but where did he go? Is he stuck in Wonderland by himself? Emma better save him. There was not enough Mr. Gold in this episode...and too much Regina! I really hope we meet the Queen of Hearts soon. I really think it's about time that Once Upon a Time invests in an artist that can illustrate the book! Oh, and did you notice the green Oz door, in the magical hat door place!?

TV Tuesdays.

Whenever I watch any kind of cop show I always wonder what detectives really wear.  Do they wear the arm gun holsters? Do they carry their hand cuffs in the back of their pants like Jason Isaacs on Awake? Speaking of Awake, did anyone else notice the old partner was the dad from Boy Meets World!? If you haven't seen this show yet PLEASE go watch it! It's Jason Isaacs, who is not only VERY handsome--I mean future husband handsome--he's Lucius Malfoy from Harry Potter! Seriously, stop reading this, click on over to Hulu and watch it, I need this show on the air next season...I mean seriously, look at him!

I hope we find out more about what is happening in the next three episodes, but not everything because I am really hoping it gets picked up for another season! Make sure you watch this show so that I can still enjoy all its mysteries in September!
-El Agave on Happy Endings! Everyone talking about eating tacos really made me crave pupusas!
-Holy Crap Alaric Saltzman, you've had some incredibly crappy luck on the Vampire Diaries! And now you're going freaking crazy! On a happier note, I was very glad to hear Elena admit to nice guy Matt that her feelings for Damon are not only real but that they surprised even her! Yes, I ship them--let Stefan and Caroline get together, but I really like me some Delena!

I absolutely LOVE the movie Waking Ned Devine! If you haven't ever seen it, do yourself a favor and watch it. I swear you will laugh until you cry! It's just such a freaking cute movie! It takes place in Ireland so you might have to put on some captions to understand what they're saying, but watch it in the spirit of St Patrick's day and I'm sure you'll love it too!

Happiness is the little things...

76. When your bangs actually work!

TV Tuesday.

This week was a little slow TV wise for me so to fill time--and sleepless nights--I started a new series, Endgame, on Hulu. I really liked the series as we watch Akady Balagan a World Champion Chess Master who developed agoraphobia after seeing his fiance die outside his hotel. Now he helps solve random cases from his hotel in order to pay for pent house without ever wearing shoes! I really like the little sides where he's trying to understand what is happening. It's clever, funny...it's a good show, one you should take the time to watch!

Have you seen GCB? If you haven't...you're not not missing much. It has it's moments--Kristin Chenoweth singing, guns, the Christian humor--but it's just so...it was better this week but still...! But the one liners are pretty good,

Best Lines:
-"It's on like Alderaan." Raj on the Big Bang Theory in "The Weekend Vortex"
-"I should be having adventures with lemurs!"--Ruby/Red on Once Upon a Time in "Red Handed"
-"Duh. He's my husband, I came from his rib."--Carlene Cockburn on GCB in "Hell Hath No Fury"

-What did the Captain mean at the end of Awake? Taking out his whole family...Are both Hannah and Rex dead? One from each reality? What the heck?!
-Do Russian's really drink that much vodka? I need to make friends with a Russian like Arkady Balagan on Endgame! Or maybe just a chess master!
-Spaghetti Bridge on the Finder--Love it!!
-Where the heck was Mr. Gold this week on Once Upon a Time? He's my favorite character--if you give the evil queen screen time, Rumple should some too!

PB turned 4 last week and to celebrate we went to Reid Park Zoo down in Tucson!

"I'VE NEVER SEEN THAT BEFORE AUNTIE!"
He loved the Rhinoceros! He said it looked like the Triceratops and went on and on about how cool it was!

Here he is being a Rhinoceros statue.

The boys had so much fun! The zoo was great, it wasn't crowded and we were able to get really close to the animals! If you are looking for something to do during spring break, I highly recommend the Zoo!

Darby O'Gill and the Little People.

"Oh she's my dear, my darlin' one
her eyes so sparklin' full of fun
no other, no other
can match the likes of her."

Darby O'Gill and the Little People stars a young and very handsome Sean Connery. Do you need another reason to watch it? He sing! It's a cute little movie that my family has watched for years! It's a perfect St Patrick's day treat.

"What is it about wearing a tuxedo or that little black dress, that makes us feel confident, beautiful, splendid, even invincible? We put on formal wear and suddenly we become extraordinary. On the days when you feel low and invisible, why not try this on for size: imagine you are wearing a fantastic tailored tuxedo or a stunning formal gown."--Vera Nazarian

I die! This is freaking perfection!

Happiness is the little things...

205. When reality is better than your expectations!

TV Tuesdays.

Who let the dogs out!

I'm kinda a TV fanatic--though I don't actually watch anything on an actual TV anymore. This week though there were plenty of dogs on TV. **Note** I'm behind on some of the shows I watch so they aren't always the most recent episodes!

Castle did a fairy tale Episode Once Upon a Crime. Not only did they have Sleeping Beauty, Snow White and Little Red Riding Hood, they had a Big Bad Wolf as well. Was casting Taylor Kinney, a werewolf from the Vampire Diaries coincident? I hope not because It kinda made my night--You clever casting peeps. Didn't you love end end where Beckett holds Castles hand!?

But Uncle Mason wasn't the only werewolf to pop up on our screens this week Joe Manganiello, True Blood's hot wolf, was guest on White Collar's Neighborhood Watch.

Another guest star that needs to be mentioned is John Rhys-Davies on Psych's Indiana Shawn and the Temple of the Kinda Crappy Rusty Dagger! The whole show is a parody of...everything!...and the fact that they cast people that were in the shows that they're making a parody of is genius! Cary Elwes also is back as the art thief Pierre Despereaux.

Best Lines:
-"You take a trip with the intention of proposing and don't tell me, your oldest and blackest friend!"-Gus, Pysch
-"Relax, more people are killed by knife wielding strangers than from trapezing."-Phil Dunphy, Modern Family "Leap Day"
-"You're all monster-ating!"-Luke Dunphy, Modern Family "Leap Day"

Outfits:
-Shawn's Indiana Jones outfit, including hat and whip in Psych.
-Elizabeth's navy/black dress in White Collar.
-Cam's custom made ruby slippers--that he doesn't actually wear in Modern Family

Product Placement:
-Chevy on Hawaii 5-0. Every time they hop in a car you see that Chevy bow tie.
-Authentic New York Slice of pizza in Hawaii 5-0.
-Dakine surf, James Caan is wearing a green Da Kine sruf shirt at the end of the episode in Hawaii 5-0.

Tangents:
-Why does Mr. Gold hate nuns/fairies in Once Upon a Time?
-Is David being hated on as much as Mary Margaret? And how do people not see Regina spray painting Tramp on MM's car all the time?
-Why did Jack keep the bloody sweatshirt on Revenge? Seriously has he never watched a CSI, NCIS, Law and Order or ANY TV AT ALL?! That sweatshirt should have been burned that night!
-Nolan and Takeda? Seems he might be sneakier than I first thought.
-The Hitler reveal on Grimm--What the?

277. Hearing someone call you a friend for the first time!

Irish.

"Woman, Ireland may be a poor country, God help us. But here, a married man sleeps in a bed, not a bag!"--Father Peter Lonergan, The Quiet Man

I've always like St. Patrick's Day, and I'm not entirely sure why--It must have been the whole pinching the crap out of people and being able to get away with it. I love these green streamers. They're simple and awesome at the same time.
