Tangents:
  • Jay is a really good Grandpa on Modern Family.
  • I don't think Victoria is dead on Revenge. It was interesting that the White Haired man didn't tell the Grayson's who Emily really is. When him and Emily were fighting he said that she must have gotten something from her mother. Does he know her mother? Is she running everything? Does that mean that she arranged the death of her husband? Where is Takeda? Why didn't he kill Amanda? I don't think Jack is the baby daddy.
  • I believe in Sherlock! I cannot wait till season 3!

  • Bones made me cry! I thought the Baptism scene was beautiful, I still don't think she should have run, but I cannot blame her.

What I liked was the part at the end when they bounced into the net and jumped up with that big Wallinda smile, the 'Ta-Dah' part--'Ta-Dah'...I loved that. It meant. Tangents:
  • Bone of Contention on Bones! Hahaha! And the Invasion of the Mother Suckers!!
  • I've always known it should be Barney and Robin on How I Met Your Mother!!! Wait for it--best middle name ever! Yeah don't think I'd ever forgive my parents!
  • I'm very glad Zoe and Wade got together on Hart of Dixie! I do not like George. He's a complete knunk head for for leaving Lemon the way he did. Do I think they should have gotten married? No! But waiting till the wedding was going to start is just mean. I did like how Zoe had Wade in her bed when George came to the door. She finally ended up with the right man but if I know Zoe she is going to screw it up!
  • Oh my heart broke when Ducky went down on the beach on NCIS. I don't think he's dead because he's signed a contract. The rest of the team...they cannot kill them. But they've been leading up to the Ducky fall for a couple of episodes; he did make Gibbs the Executor of his estate a couple of weeks ago. This finale was classic NCIS. With GCB being cancels I thought I was done with the Bible references but the story of Samson in Judges 15 was referenced. I do hope that Ducky's not gone.
  • The W.H.O. conference on Sherlock; not sure if there is a real think like W.H.O. but I thought it was a reference to Doctor Who which is also written by Steven Moffat. Clever casting, the guy who saw the monstrous hound plays a werewolf on Bring Human--not the American version, that werewolf is played by Mini-Siku from Jungle to Jungle. I liked the way they filmed Sherlock's mind palace.
  • Have I mentioned how much I have enjoyed watching Sean Bean and Jason Issacs on TV. I think that next season they should just let them have their own show--any show and I'd watch it!
  • Well Gossip Girl was...well usual. I must say that I'm very disappointed in Chuck, why didn't he just shut up and kiss Blair! But I am glad that whole Dan thing is done. S is a complete idiot! Next season will be the last one. I hope that Dan will finally cut his hair; unless he has a part in another mediocre Three Musketeers movie then it needs cut.
  • Well done Grimm! Nothing was resolved and you left us with a lot of questions.
  • I loved the scenes where Brienne 'the Beauty' and Jamie 'the Kingslayer' meet on Game of Thrones for the first time. Hardly any reaction at all and yet they're one of the relationships I love most in the series; I cannot wait to see that develop on screen. They need to bring back some Gendry and Arya scenes, though the ones between her and Tywin are pretty brilliant.

98. Putting in the last puzzle piece!

TV Tuesdays.

Not only is Sherlock brilliantly written, it's beautifully filmed. I love that Sherlock has become a minor celebrity through Watson's blog--1,895 visitors. Doyle's "The Adventures of the Bruce-Partington Plans" is set in 1895 and involves the theft of government documents. But it could also be a reference to Vincent Starrett's sonnet "221B"
"Here dwell together still two men of note
Who never lived and so can never die...
Here, though the world explode, these two survive
And it is always 1895."
Did you notice the rock on Adler's hand!? You really can follow Adler on twitter or her website. Making Irene Adler a dominatrix was very clever! "Vatican cameos" Watson and Sherlock's danger code word is a line from Doyle's The Hound of Baskersvilles--which is the next episode. One of my favorite parts was when Sherlock asks John to hit him. John says "Christmas is canceled" which is very funny on it's own but it is also said by Alan Rickman on Robin Hood. I absolutely love how protective Sherlock and Watson are of Mrs. Hudson. I AM SHERLOCKED! A pun! The whole case ended with a pun! This episode also made me wonder how many ash trays have been stolen from Buckingham palace.

  • Ford on Once Upon a Time.
  • Decline and Fall of the Roman Empire on Grimm. It would have put me to sleep too!
  • Reddi-Whip on Mad Men.
  • Weight Watchers on Mad Men.
Tangents:
  • Holy Moly Castle! I have very mixed emotions about this episode. First I 'm so glad that Castle and Beckett got together but I feel a little cheated by the way it happened. I understand Beckett realizing that she loves Castle and that's all that matters, but the fact that she comes to him after her life has gone to crap. Instead of being completely satisfying, it just felt like well she had nothing else and so she went to Castle. I am interested in seeing if she really is done being a cop, but everyone being mad at Ryan was stupid! He saved their freaking lives--Get Over It!
  • Mark Twain quote on NCIS "Always do right. This will gratify some people and astonish the rest." Nathaniel Hawthorne's Scarlet Woman was quoted as well "Let man tremble to win the hand of woman."  Did anyone else love when a fake drunk Jimmy calls Gibbs Leroy!
  • I loved how New Girl ended the season with everyone dancing alone in their rooms! Classic New Girl! Really made me want to have a dance party in my room.
  • I was very glad to see McGarett's sexy...face on Hawaii 5-0 again this week. And did Dano call him babe?!
  • Awake was canceled this week. Apparently the people at NBC don't share my sincere love of seeing Jason Issac's weekly and sometimes pretty naked on my television screen. I've really enjoyed Awake and I hope that they can give a somewhat satisfying end to the short lived series.
  • Did anyone else want to laugh when the Elijah gave Elena his word on The Vampire Diaries? Holy crap he's gorgeous but I mean honestly Elijah acts all honorably, but he has broken his word before. But he is very good looking! I love how Caroline is so Caroline when she says all she needs is a curling iron. So Bonnie just let Evalric stab Tyler/Klaus? Um, I'm pretty sure that vampire Stefan could have saved both Matt and Elena. He is a vampire and they do have super strength and it's not like they need to breathe. Damon met Elena first! That's right the brother Elena is suppose to end up with met her first and now that she's a vampire she'll remember that!
  • On a sad note, Alcatraz was officially canceled this week. I really liked this show and wish it had more time to find the right audience! GCB was canceled as well. It really grew on me and I really like all the Bible references.
  • I really like how the dogs freaked out when they got near Monroe's house on Grimm. "That's why I mark my territory" very clever! It's about time Nick told Juliet about the whole Grimm thing.

280. When someone likes what you cooked!

A Land Without Magic.

Holy Once Upon a freaking Time! I have to say that I was pretty happy with the season finale, I would have been happier if it had been two hours--or if they had answered more questions in previous episodes instead of throwing them all at us in this one--because it all felt a little rushed. We've spent an entire season waiting for Emma to believe in Magic/the book and she has disappointed us again and again, but then in the first minutes of the episode she believes, has flashbacks from when she was a baby and gets a confession from Regina! The episode was very plot heavy but I would have liked more time to see how the characters really reacted to everything that was happening.

I've decided that I want to move to Storybrooke and work for Mr. Gold. I love how he has ALL the magical trinkets--EVERYTHING--and swords in his shop. I wonder if they were all their when he woke up in Reality or if he went around picking all these things up as soon as he arrived?! August turned completely to wood, but now that the curse has been broken and magic has returned, I wonder if he'll be back next season. It was fun to see the Huntsman again--oh how I have missed seeing his ruggedly handsome face! Despite Regina being in the middle of a crisis I cannot believe that she so blatantly challenged Jefferson! He's the Mad Hatter deary--I think I'm going to start calling people Deary!--the word Mad is in his name! I loved how he broke into the secret psych ward--because he's the mad one--and released Belle. Next season will probably be Team Gold and Team Evil Regina!--I'm Team Gold because he's a bad ass with heart he just doesn't really know how to use.

From what I can understand--tonight, tomorrow I will probably have a different theory--is that when Charming gave Snow true love's kiss he somehow gave the curse power. The last line of the story that Mary Margaret read to Henry was "Waking up Snow White and bringing life to the Darkness." The product of the Charmings love was Emma and her true love--Henry--broke the curse. I felt it was very appropriate that Emma broke the curse when she truly accepted her love for Henry as his mother, on MOTHER'S DAY! True love is powerful and the love that one has for their family is truly limitless. But then again I believe that "The family is central to the Creator's plan" so that came as no surprise to me.

Speaking of true love, didn't you love seeing Mr. Gold see Belle again! His freaking face killed me! Then he promises to protect her at the same time admitting that...No, she doesn't know him! Then his promise that she will know him was classic Mr. Gold! Then when she finally remembers who he is and he admits he loves her! Oh my goodness Robert Carlyle has become my new favorite actor!  But the tear came when David finds Mary Margaret and yells "SNOW!" Oh my heart gave up and I cried a little. Of course they found each other again! Happy Endings to happen in Reality--though they might be short lived and actually be a happy beginning with only a hope of ever after.

But the kicker was the end when Gold drops the potion into the wishing well. I thought for sure the thing that was lost that he was going to bring back was Bae! But no, Mr. Gold was true to himself and brought back the magic! He didn't learn the lesson his son wanted him to learn in Reality--that he could live without magic--he's grown accustomed to the power his magic brought him and he wants it back--maybe more than he wants Bae. But he needs Bae because he brings out the human side of him!

Things we learned:
  • The forest where the Queen Regina sent Hansel/Gretel and father is the Infinite Forest and you cannot get out of it without magic. Which sadly means that Hansel and Gretel are probably still looking for their father.
  • We saw Snow White's coffin again.
  • Despite the fact that we have been told repeatedly that there is no magic in Storybrooke, there can be a dragon. That's right a freaking Dragon! How can a dragon who is by ALL accounts a very magical creature be living under Strorybrooke? It reminds me of the King Arthur story where they find the dragon (worm) under the ground or something, it reminds me of the story but not enough to remember the details.
  • We found out that Sydney Glass is rotting away down in the psych ward.
  • Rumpelstiltskin used a drop of the love potion created from the Charmings on the curse.
  • Rumpelstiltskin is Clinton (What Not to Wear) of Fairy Tale land! I loved how he made sure Charming was dressed appropriately before delivering TLK to Snow.
  • The entrance to the Dragon's lair was through the town library!
Hopes for Next Season:
  • The show decides to invest in an illustrator who can make the pictures in the book resemble the characters but look awesome as well.
  • Now that magic is back in town we might get more stories like unto Angel and BTVS, which would be cool.
  • Could imagine the awesomeness that Brian Fuller would bring to this show? I know this will probably NEVER happen but I believe that this show would jump to an even higher degree of awesomeness if he was involved. Seriously think about it--LOST meets Pushing Daisies!!!!
  • Do we ever learn why Mr. Gold has a cane?
  • Who is Doctor Whale?
  • Please build a castle set so that we don't have to see anymore green screen castle shots!
  • We're going to meet Ariel!
  • We'll learn what exactly what Mr. Gold knew about Henry when he found him for Regina.
  • Who was the weird person mopping the floor in the psych ward?
What did you think of the finale?

129. Holding hands!

TV Tuesday.

Regina cannot kill Emma on Once Upon a Time!! If Emma dies the curse is broken. It was nice to see Jefferson again, it's nice to know that he isn't stuck making hats in Wonderland or worse. He only suffering in his own personal hell in reality away from his daughter. I can't believe that they might actually be killing Henry off...but then again it's the guys from LOST and killing beloved characters is something they don't have a problem with. I really liked the White Rabbit card that Regina used to contact Jefferson. Snow going all Xena on us was...a little much. and the fairy's...the more I see them the more I wonder why they all look like strippers in Candy land. The only magic left in reality are things that were magical before everyone came; I wonder if there's anything in Mr. Gold's shop that is magical still? From the preview of the season finale it looks like magic might be making a come back. That ought to change things up quite a bit. But as Rumple loves to remind us, All magic comes with a price--and unfortunately it seems Henry is the price.

  • I really like Detective Britten trying to figure out how to turn on the video game on Awake. Then there was the elevator music that was on during the beginning of the interview with Pearl.
  • I really liked the way In Plain Sight ended. Mary and Marshall are best friends and I love that the show didn't change try to change that last minute. It was a little bit strange that Brandi was prego, but I like the fact that Mary's crapped up family life has finally become less crapped up.
  • Does anyone else thing that Amanda and the pastor would be a good couple on GCB? That kiss at the end, it just works for me.
  • I think we saw the beginning of the end of Megan and Don on Mad Men.

91. Recalling good memories with friends!

JoeyBra.

"There is a great deal on engineering in a gentlemen's sock, I'll have you know. In the stitching of the heel. By comparison, designing a brassiere is a piece of cake. Not that there aren't compensation."-Joe Blumfield, Miss Pettigrew Lives For A Day

Megs was telling me about a bra with a pocket for your phone, credit card, or whatever and I had to see it for myself. The JoeyBra is pretty dang brilliant. They even have a video that shows you just how easy it is to use. I love this and think I might have found my next birthday bra--if they increase there size range. Sorry but there's no way I can fit into a 32D/34C. Maybe by September they'll have more sizes!

Will you be trying the JoeyBra?

"Then you'd do well as a polygamist: one to have, one to hold"
"Why? Why would you do that? For the record I'd make a horrible polygamist. I'm easily distracted, I wouldn't know where to focus."--Emerson and Ned, Pushing Daisies

Oh mi panza! Don't these look delicious!
Chocolate Nutella Cups. These need to be made...now!

Star Wars Day!

May the fourth be with you!

I have been a Star Wars fan since the day, oh so many years ago, I first watched it. Now I will be honest the story was captivating but I fell completely in love with Luke Skywalker! He was so handsome my preteen heart had no chance. It wasn't until I was a more mature teenager that I came to truly appreciate the beauty that is Han Solo! When I came across this article about a fellow Solo lover I had to share it! So grab a lovable rouge, or if you have my luck you might have to settle for a bag popcorn, sit down and watch your favorite Star Wars movie.

How do you celebrate Star Wars Day?

211. Finding the food you want to eat in the fridge!

TV Tuesday.

Did anyone have a Star Wars moment when August told Emma she was their only hope? Doesn't she know that "you're all screwed" isn't the correct response when someone tells you that you're the savior--where's Obi Wan when you need him. What did you think about Snow forgiving the Mayor like that?! Pretty intense! And Emma not being able to see August's wooden leg! Holy crap! There's only two episodes left so she has to start believing soon. What do you think it'll be? 28 years. Doesn't that seem like a really random number? Is it because that's of Jennifer Morrison or do you think there might be some kind of significance to her 28th year being the year she saves everyone? OUAT has done a heck of a job hiring child actors! The young Pinocchio, Bae and mini Snow, and cute baby Emma have all done a wonderful job.

  • "I just feel like fixing things."-August/Pinocchio on Once Upon a Time.
  • "I could kill a 100 zombies with my thumbs but i don't know how to shoot one of those things."-Michael in "A Measure of a Man" on Missing.
  • "If Dolly can have her Dollywood I can have my Holy-wood"-Carlene in "Adam and Eve's Rib" on GCB.
  • "Glass of bourbon and a low cut top work better than truth serum on that man."-Gigi on GCB.
  • "It's not fair that you're a boob carrying consumer."-Stan on "At the Codfish Ball" on Mad Men.
  • "Men don't take the time to end things. They ignore you until you insist on a declaration of hate."-Joan on Mad Men.
Best Outfits:
  • S's scarf on Gossip Girl.
  • Angela's striped dress on Bones.
  • The dress Jess wears to the awkward dinner on New Girl.
  • Did you see Nolan's red/white sweater on Revenge?! What the heck!
  • All the girls at the 20's decade dance on the Vampire Diaries. The boys looked pretty good too!
  • I really liked Juliet's pink pleated skirt in "Leave It To Beavers" on Grimm.
  • Loved the Texas aprons the men wore on GCB.
Product Placement:
  • I really like the painting in Russell's house on New Girl.
  • Tron {lunchbox} on Once Upon a Time.
  • Lord of the Rings in "Sacrificial Lam" on In Plain Sight.
  • BBC America on In Plain Sight.
  • Megan and Sally looked gorgeous at the dinner on Mad Men.
  • The Bachelor on the Vampire Diaries.
Tangents:
  • Whale cam! I love that the hidden camera they use is a whale cam on Revenge. The best part of Revenge these last two weeks has been James Purefoy! He's so good looking!!
  • That one stripper club in North Hollywood that named a pole after Howard on The Big Bang Theory--yeah North Hollywood was where I spent half my mission. I'm pretty sure that I've walked by every strip club in North Hollywood!
  • Ok I did not see that short dark haired girl on Missing as being a traitor! But does anyone else think that the big bad is going to be Becca's handler? I'm still holding out hope that Paul is not a bad guy--mainly because it's just too easy!
  • Why can't someone just break the salt circle on the Vampire Diaries? Really, it was way more dramatic then it needed to be.
  • I'm really like what a badass Nick is becoming on Grimm! But honestly it's about time he tells Juliet what the heck is going on. He life is in danger just for living with Nick, the least he can do is tell her the truth.
  • I loved the Roger/Sally relationship on Mad Men. I really think that they should have more scenes together. Then there was Joan and Peggy. I love how they have this relationship that neither one of them really wanted but that they've developed anyways. You have to hand it to Joan who probably doesn't want to deal with anyone else's relationship, since her own marriage is over but she really does help Peggy. More importantly I think she is really happy for her.
  • Is it just me or should GCB's writers find more reasons to have Cricket shoot a gun.
